The role:
We are looking for a Financial Operations Junior Analyst to join our team, supporting the day-to-day running of all financial operations across the Lumon Group. This is an exciting opportunity for a junior or entry-level finance professional to gain exposure and experience within a rapidly growing business. The role requires an ambitious and motivated individual who is eager to develop and take on increasing responsibilities as their skills grow.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Treasury Management: Manage Treasury FX accounts and cash balances, execute cash management swaps, and reconcile all accounts within the Treasury scope.
- Payment Processing: Oversee and manage the centralised EU Payments mailbox, ensuring all client communications are handled promptly. Add and verify new payment details on the back-office platform.
- Client Verification: Contact clients to verify new bank details and payment requests, ensuring accuracy and security.
- Bank Liaison: Communicate with banking providers regarding payments and queries, escalating issues as necessary.
- Account Reconciliation: Conduct morning reconciliations of EU client and treasury bank accounts, proactively investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Accounts Payable Management: Handle the accounts payable mailbox, process invoices, and perform all related accounts payable tasks, ensuring timely payments and accuracy.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to European clients, addressing account and payment queries professionally and promptly.
- Finance Support: Assist with any finance-related tasks requested by the European Finance Lead or CFO, contributing to overall financial operations.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with the Operations and Treasury teams to ensure efficient payment processing and adherence to internal control frameworks.
- Compliance: Ensure full compliance with internal and external policies and carry out daily safeguarding processes in line with regulations.
- Reporting: Produce Treasury reports to demonstrate adherence to the control framework and assist with finance-related tasks as needed.
Key Qualifications:
- Educational background in finance or experience in a finance-related role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in handling payment details and financial records.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of managing relationships both internally and externally.
- Good numerical aptitude to efficiently handle payment processes and financial tasks.
- A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
