Our Mission and who we are
‘To be the world’s most trusted currency partner’
At Lumon, we help individuals and businesses move money across borders - smoothly, securely, and cost-effectively. With operations in 150+ countries and support for over 40 currencies, we combine competitive, bank-beating exchange rates with a personal, human touch.
Whether it’s buying property abroad, managing international business costs, or sending money home, every customer gets access to a dedicated currency specialist - alongside our digital FX platform - for expert support tailored to their needs.
We’re regulated by the FCA and the Central Bank of Ireland, handling billions in transfers each year for over 70,000 private clients and 2,500+ businesses. Backed by Pollen Street Capital, we’re in an exciting phase of growth - scaling across Europe and expanding our tech and services.
What’s the role?
You'll be the custodian of the employee lifecycle at Lumon — owning everything from welcoming new Lumoneers through onboarding, running our annual people processes in Cintra, to conducting exit interviews and offboarding colleagues as they move on. If it touches the employee journey from day one to final day, it sits with you.
So, what does that actually mean?
People Engagement: Oversee the onboarding and induction experience for all new Lumon employees, at all levels of our organisation, to start their careers with Lumon. Conduct exit interviews and provide employee feedback to managers and the People Team when employees are leaving Lumon.
Visas and right to work: Take the lead on any visa sponsorship applications and other right to work checks that happen for Lumon, no matter where in the world it is.
People Systems: Manage the HR side of our HRIS (Cintra), ATS (Team Tailor) and other key systems, ensuring they are fit for purpose, delivering clean data, driving valuable insights, and automated wherever possible. You’ll support the full employee life cycle from the point of employment offer to final offboarding. You will also work closely with the Payroll & Benefits Manager to ensure data flows correctly to our integrated payroll system and to support monthly payroll and expenses processes.
People Support: Provide first-line support to external enquires, employees and managers across all of the People Team contact channels including people helpdesk, email and phone.
Performance Management: Own performance-related documentation and system configurations, manage timelines, and oversee post-cycle administration, ensuring we’re always on-time, within budget, and maximising adoption across the organisation.
Feedback Surveys: Take ownership of managing company-wide engagement and pulse surveys, coordinating with the wider People Team and Leaders on communications, timelines, and results analysis.
People Policies: Partner with the wider People Team to create, update, and communicate company policies.
What else will help you to succeed in this role?
Experience in People Operations: You already know how to handle onboarding, offboarding, employee engagement, acquisitions, and performance management in a rapidly scaling, international organisation. You’re also not afraid to roll up your sleeves and support your People Team colleagues in other areas, when required.
Strong Communication and Relationship Building Skills: You are able to build trust quickly and communicate confidently across all levels of the organisation. You are empathetic, approachable, and comfortable working with diverse groups of internal and external stakeholders.
Adaptable and Solution-Oriented: You handle challenges with a positive, solution-focused mindset, and are comfortable managing a busy workload with multiple priorities in a dynamic, changing environment. Your organisational skills is definitely one of your strengths.
A Problem Solver: You thrive in a role where you can leverage your expertise in people operations to enable the delivery of big picture strategy. You're proactive, detail-oriented, and continuously on the lookout for people process enhancements.
